UltraRendu review
UltraRendu V2.8 offers further performance improvements over the groundbreaking microRendu. It is in a larger enclosure that perfectly matches the Uptone LPS-1.2, although it may be used with many other power supplies.
UltraRendu remains as an Ethernet input and USB Audio output. All connectors are now located on the rear of the unit for easy cable routing (Please see UltraDigital option for SPDIF output)
Use an audiophile grade linear PSU or Uptone LPS1.2 for the lowest possible noise floor

- Running Logitech Media Server on-board allows playback of local radio stations and streaming services. Also allows you to use as a UPNP server in combination with Drive Mounter
- BubbleUPNP Server app allows any renderer to use OhMedia - OpenHome protocol (So Linn Kinsky/Kazoo Apps with playlist support may be used as controllers)
- Tidal and Qobuz lossless streaming. (Squeezelite and DLNA output mode)
- Native DSD is supported on selected DACs
- UltraRendu is controlled via third party apps on your mobile device and by your computer

Output Option - Sonore ultraDigital
The Sonore ultraDigital project is a USB digital converter with SPDIF output via BNC and a LVDS i2s output via HDMI. The LVDS i2s output supports various formats for compatibility with various digital to analog converters. Use with microRendu, ultraRendu, OpticalRendu and Signature Rendu only.
Sonore will not provide support for direct connection to OS X or Windows
- SPDIF output via BNC: PCM 44.1K-192K, DSD64 via DOP
- LVDS i2s output via HDMI: PCM 44.1K-384K, native DSD64 - DSD256
- USB input support PCM, DSD via DoP, and native DSD via Linux
- Selectable LVDS i2s HDMI output: Gustard, PS Audio, Holo Audio, L.K.S., Wyred4Sound
- Selectable master clock output rate (DIY use only)
- No drivers needed for Linux and OS X. Power in: 6-9 VDC/1 amp
