Add audiophile optical networking to your system
Sonore Rendu Signature SE in-stock (Optical versions to order)
What is systemOptique? The opticalModule has an SFP fiber optic transceiver along with an RJ45 connector which can be used to add fiber-optic networking to your existing wired network. The circuit design features femto clocking, linear power regulation, external power input.
systemOptique completely eliminates noise from a network by using glass optical fiber to transmit network data instead of copper wire. Any Ethernet cable made of metal, no matter how well made can still pick up electrical noise radiated through the air. Optical fiber can not pick up any noise because it’s made of glass not metal
Some audiophiles have tried to use copper Ethernet to optical Ethernet transceivers to build an isolated gap between their audio equipment and their router. This works well but the final transceiver has to be connected to the network player using wired Ethernet and noise can be picked up at that point
Sonore opticalModule is a bi-directional fiber media converter or FMC. The opticalModule has an SFP fiber optic transceiver on one side and an RJ45 connector on the other side. The unit can be used to add fiber-optic networking to your existing wired network or convert your existing fiber optic network to a wired network. The unit can be used with a microRendu, ultraRendu, opticalRendu, Signature Rendu, or any other network endpoint. 1000Mbps endpoint ports are supported (not 100Mbps endpoint ports)
The opticalModule is systemOptique Certified
If using with an existing microRendu or ultraRendu you will need two optical units and two power supplies to preserve the infinite galvanic isolation inherent to the system. The optical units each come with a SFP transceiver. From the second optical unit to the Rendu you need to use an ethernet cable.
Optical Module De-luxe features:
If you use a 3rd party supply please check that it meets specifications and is of correct polarity
